Welcome to the St. James and St. John United Church website. Our church and Maple Glen United Church form the Newcastle Pastoral Charge.
Our weekly services are attended by a congregation drawn from nearly three hundred families, and our guests and friends. We also have a large and active Sunday School.
Located in Miramichi, New Brunswick, the church was built following the Great Miramichi Fire of 1825. The church and grounds were designated as a provincial historic site in 2004. Read more about our church history.

St. James and St. John United Church is hosting a celebration in honour of Rev. Ron Feltmate’s 50th year of Ordination as a United Church minister (storm date Sunday, March 14) at the Newcastle Lion’s Club. Meet and greet will be at 5:30 p.m., dinner served at 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be PRE-SOLD only, at $20.00 per person and available at the church office or Books Inn. Tickets must be purchased by March 10. Menu: stuffed chicken breast, baked potato, vegetables and apple crisp, tea or coffee.
From 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Napan Community Hall the Centre Napan Women's Institute will hold a pot luck supper with all food provided by the W.I at a cost of $8.00, everyone welcome!
