Welcome to the St. James and St. John United Church website. Our church and Maple Glen United Church form the Newcastle Pastoral Charge.
Our weekly services are attended by a congregation drawn from nearly three hundred families, and our guests and friends. We also have a large and active Sunday School.
Located in Miramichi, New Brunswick, the church was built following the Great Miramichi Fire of 1825. The church and grounds were designated as a provincial historic site in 2004. Read more about our church history.

Exciting news! We are offering Vacation Bible School this summer. This year's VBS is titled "Colossal Coaster World" and will be held from June 24 - 28. We are in need of volunteers to assist with the program; here are some ways in which you can contribute: Craft, Recreation, and Snack leaders and assistants, Rotation leaders and decorators. Interested persons please contact Kimberley or phone the church office 622-1598; remember many hands not only make light work, but make these endeavors possible.
Rev. Fraser will be on vacation during the month of June. Pulpit supply will be Manford Wasson on June 9 and 23; Georgina Baisley on June 16 and 30. Dean Lawrence is the supervising minister.
We have received a government grant to hire a student for the summer. Please drop off your resume at the church office, deadline is June 18.
